This course is organized around video clips of a seminar by Alice Kosnik, an experienced world language teacher and national trainer. You’ll see Alice present and demonstrate practical strategies to increase students’ acquisition of any new language. You'll find a wealth of suggestions for taking new ideas back to your own classroom, including ways to adapt each strategy or technique based on the level of your students’ language learning.

You have up to 90 days to complete your course.
The course is designed to take at least 5-6 hours if you watch all video clips, complete all review activities, read supporting documents, and create your personal Action Plan. Times will vary, as some people may move more quickly through the course, and others may want to watch modules multiple times. The course can be stopped and started at your own discretion, with the course resuming where you left off. You may also choose to re-start the course at the beginning.
On Demand Video-Based and Scheduled Instructor-Led courses are for individual use only.
For this course, you will need a computer or laptop and a secure internet connection.
You must have broadband internet access, a non-shared email, a desktop or laptop computer running Microsoft Windows or Mac OS X operating system.

Your course will remain active for up to 90 days after your enrollment. After this time period, you’ll no longer have access to the video clips. As you take the course you’ll need to save and/or print Supporting Print Resources, as well as your Personal Plan of Action, to have access to these materials after the 90 day period.

This course is an on demand, video-based online course. Unlike many other courses, you will see activities and strategies in action, modeled by real educators in real classroom settings. Since the course is on demand, you can control when and where you take the course, as well as how much time you spend on it each time you log on. The course includes a Personal Action Plan- a document you will create to help you implement any strategies and ideas you select into your own program. You’fll also find supporting documents to download, save or print.
